This Privacy Policy explains how Archer Ventures, LLC, doing business as Bethany’s Joy Treatshop (“Bethany’s Joy Treatshop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit bethanysjoy.com, sign up for our email or text message lists, place an order, or otherwise interact with us.

We are a small cottage bakery in West Plains, Missouri. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact details, such as your first name, email address, and mobile phone number, when you sign up for our email or text lists, enter a giveaway, or contact us.
  • Consent records, such as whether you agreed to receive text messages and when you signed up.
  • Order details, such as what you ordered and your pickup information. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Anything else you send us, such as questions, feedback, or messages.

Information collected automatically:

  • When you visit our website, our site and service providers may collect device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and your approximate location based on your IP address. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Our emails and text messages may tell us whether a message was delivered or opened and whether a link was clicked.
  • If you redeem an offer code at our booth, we record that the code was redeemed and when, so we can connect it to your signup.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To send you the emails and text messages you signed up for, including offer codes, reminders, sales, coupons, new treat announcements, and where to find us.
  • To track offer code redemptions and prevent misuse, such as one-per-person limits.
  • To fill orders, arrange pickups, and answer your questions.
  • To understand which messages, offers, and pages people find useful, so we can improve them.
  • To run giveaways and contests.
  • To show and measure our ads on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • To keep our website secure and to comply with the law.

3. Text Messaging (SMS)

We only send marketing text messages to people who have given us express consent, for example by checking the text message consent box on our sign-up form. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need to do that work:

  • Email and text message delivery (Brevo)
  • Website hosting and sign-up form tools
  • Online ordering and payment processing (such as Hotplate and its payment processors)
  • Point-of-sale system used at our market booth
  • Website analytics and advertising platforms (such as Meta, TikTok, and Google), which receive device and usage information through cookies and pixels on our website, and, when you sign up, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and first name, as described in section 5

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

5. Cookies, Pixels, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (small pieces of code and data stored in your browser) to make the site work, understand how people use it, and show and measure our ads.

Who we work with

We currently use tools from the following companies. We may add other advertising or analytics partners in the future, and when we do, they will be used in the same ways described in this section.

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API
  • TikTok: the TikTok Pixel and the TikTok Events API
  • Google: Google Analytics, and Google advertising tools if we use them

What they collect

  • Pages you view on our site, the site or ad that sent you, and actions you take, such as signing up for our list
  • Device and browser information, your IP address, and your approximate location based on that IP address
  • Cookie identifiers and ad-click identifiers that let these companies recognize that a visit came from one of their ads
  • When you sign up, we also send Meta and TikTok a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and first name directly from our website, so they can match the sign-up to an ad you saw. Hashing turns the information into a code that is used for matching and is not shown to advertisers.

We never send your mobile phone number or your text message opt-in to Meta, TikTok, Google, or any other advertising or analytics partner.

How it is used

We use this information to count how many people sign up from our ads, to show our ads to people who are more likely to be interested (including people who have visited our site), and to understand which ads and pages work. These companies may also use the information as described in their own privacy policies.

Your choices

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your contact information for as long as you are subscribed to our lists or as long as we need it to serve you. If you unsubscribe, we may keep a record of your opt-out so we can honor it. We keep order and sales records as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on reputable service providers to store it. No website or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

  • Email: click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any of our emails.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any of our texts.
  • Your information: you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 45 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our email and text programs are only for people 18 or older, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
